Do you ever feel like you're not the person occupying your own flesh? Like an alien, trapped inside of a box somewhat familiar. Waking up each day, you're met with this reoccurring version of yourself that seems to be endlessly transforming out of the cocoon phase. Staring you deep inside your eyes, you don't seem to remember who that is you're looking at. You still wonder, how possible it is, to feel like a stranger inside of the bodies we've known all our lives. A sense of one's consciousness, deeply buried beneath the many layers of societal pressures, expectations, roles and miscalculated drama. Utter discomfort, as you try to truly assess what it is that you undoubtedly feel is so off today.

A whole lot of factors out there contribute to these feelings of disjointed energy pools within the body, and the question you may be asking now is "How do I then balance my inner world with my outer world?"

What is Grounded Energy?

  • Grounded Energy simply put, is a rooted and tranquil state of being where your energy, emotions, and thoughts feels and is stable, balanced, and connected to the present moment. A harmony overriding all at once. That is grounded energy.

  • "Energy can neither be created nor destroyed"...We've heard that one too many times. Here's what is behind that thought- All around us is an invisible pool of energy, swirling at an enormous level of frequency, and we have no control over this creation. It simply just exists. What we influence rather, is the radio we tune in to, i.e. whatever vibration we're at, that is what we receive from the compendium of vast energy. We inevitably get back what we give.

  • Each person understands how energy works inside of them, even if they may not be able to grasp, at the core level, the very basics and fundamentals of Energy. That being said, ultimately you can tell when something's clearly not in harmony as it should be energetically. As energy swirls inside of us, in form of thoughts, feelings, ideas and emotions, and this source of energetic flow shakes our center or our idea of a "solid ground" - then that becomes a problem, unsetting, especially in the present moment. With thoughts, emotions and feelings at an all-time high, spilling all over the place, in debris and carelessness. WHY and HOW can this be shifted right back to center then, back to normal regulation?

  • By noticing the different points of disintegration and dysregulation within self, which causes feelings of unease within the mind, body and spirit. And most importantly, your deliberate determination to touch at the root cause of all these factors, not only just visiting mere surface.

Little Rant

I've had my own share of the wicked slice of suffering. Speaking from an intimate personal experience and I write this so confidently because I'm really no different from the other, we're all bits and parts of the greater whole so the inner knowing of the high rate that this article to be relatable? undoubtedly high. With that being said, I get it TOTALLY.

I've dealt with a certain level of chronic stress that had almost took my life. [This is not an exaggeration]. Experienced trauma so deeply, it had begun to change my physical posture and stance. I felt pain all over coupled with deep rooted grief deep inside of my bone marrows. I noticed that I had grown weaker in my feet which was getting weaker by the day, and I had lost balance whatsoever. It hurts a great deal when you know something threatens your sense of self on a greater scale and yet, seems very much elusive.

Here are some of the ways I seek to stay and remain Grounded within self <3

  1. Spending time in nature, sunbathing.

As simple as this point may sound, understand that it takes a great deal of the practice of mindfulness, to be able to enjoy the sweetness of the early morning sun. As a beginner I rather you begin to practice with the 'early morning' sun. Reasons be that it is warm and friendly to people with super sensitive skin.

Coming to appreciate the practice of beginning my days in the morning with the rise of the sun, right before getting down and dirty with chores or the many to-do lists. It sets my day right, planting in it little seeds of joy and gratitude. In gratitude I find contentment and when I'm contented, I feel more grounded anyways.

It then further brings to my awareness, the concept of my unique existence placing it right into perspective. It reminds me of how I'm created by same source just as this gleaming warm ball of light is. How divinely cool that is plus, I rest in the knowing. Magnificent! Often times than not, I get very humbled by the universe, at how small actually my little life is, in its entirety, in its chaos. future reconnecting my attention back to breath, as I gently close my eyes, inhaling the rays and shine, letting out a deep exhalation of worries, doubt and unease.

In that sweet, cherished moment, I am free.

Here's a playlist for you while at it <3,

  1. Yoga/Pilates/Mindful Body Movements.

Getting outside of my mind and into my body. I love to move my body it drives me insane when I don't. That is literally the cheat code to feeling less burdened with the weight of the world on your shoulders. A literal physical therapy which not only enhances my physique, but also refocuses my attention away from the externals, back into the things that I have control over, re-channeling all that energy used in indulging in my head, the background noises of my life which directly weren't serving me no more. I move my body to move and manipulate energy. Slowly, Intentionally, and in the present moment. I move my body to feel my vessel at a freer and more receptive state. Receptive of a good flow of energy.

Movement of the body in whatever form when compounded, saves us from a whole lot of dis-ease in the body. I mean you'll immediately feel the buildup of dense energy, needing to be released. Whenever I'm done stretching or performing some Pilates session, it immediately clears and rattles up any stale and dense energy stuck in the nerves and joints, creating an easy flow of blood all around the sweet body.

Toxic environments harm our body makeup naturally. Our memory remembers, so does our body- So Move Darling <3

Let's Go!🚀

Consciously, grounding back to a very solid center, I achieve that through multiple Yoga and Pilates form practices, in strengthening my mind-body connectivity. Something about putting my body in weird forms and shapes, in whatever shape that I feel consciously led to flow in. I direct my present attention to both how it aches, how it retracts and how it releases thus, I get to know my body parts deeper.

- Soft body movements not only tickle my fancy, but I breathe better, and I feel so much better afterwards because I've literally just stimulated my dorsal nerves which are nerves responsible for our sensory functions. "sensory"- what we "feel". Soft body movements is so effectively good because, it keeps them ready, for a better blood flow inside of my body.

This literally saves our lives from any impending doom in regard to a possible bad physical health challenge, which could eventually result to a disastrous physical ailment or plagues one with some chronic illness.

PS: When it comes to practicing my Yoga movement or Pilates, it's not always about how perfect my form is though when doing it, but how well I breathe and aware of my breath, bent in these weird forms.

Great relief I tell you.

Simply Breathe and Flow.

  1. Deepening my connection with God.

One of the many ways I create balance within, is through my continuous relationship with Christ and guess what, Christ dwells inside each and every single one of us. With this understanding that Christ dwells inside of me, I understand that I am not of this earthly realm. I am a spirit with a body still, so therefore, I seek to feed my spirit. Daily, I cultivate that hunger through my conscious effort in communicating with him, quenching my taste for the divine, of the source of creation. I feel more at peace within myself whenever I do that. Peace emanating from a place of inner acceptance of the reality of things because God has giving me this divine understanding, that everything works out for me, for my highest good actually. May not understand at the moment, nonetheless, I find unshakable confidence plus safety in this God. - "For the plans I have for you, are plans to prosper you and not plans to harm you".

The experiencing of God looks different for everybody else. People have different names and modalities by which they experience God almighty. His existence, nonetheless, has never been denied. God exists and is there for you to rely on. Turn to him for a greater sense of inner peace, joy and tranquility. He'll provide you with a clearer thought pattern which then produces clearer paths.

I deepen my connection with God through spending more time, in awareness of him. By meditating upon his word that is written in the holy scriptures, I meet him right exactly where is at, right inside the depth of my soul.

    Meditating upon his scriptures.

Singing praises and worship to his holy name.

    In chants and exaltations,

    Admiration and wonder.

Feeling more centered back to self for he is the greatest anchor.

Rest assured; that the Divine, from whose cloth you're cut from, knows all our wants and needs, holding each one of us firmly, in the hollows of his hands.

So come dwell in his sanctuary.

I recommend starting with the book of Proverbs and Ephesians, if you're not entirely sure where to begin,

    Come.

    Here, hear this <3,

  1. Deep exhale {!}

Conscious breathing has and is still saving my life at the moment. It's quite literally baffling the moment you decide to become more aware of your breathing cause, you're going to see how disorderly and disjointed your vessel has become, due to its disconnection with your sacred breath. And we understand and know well enough that breath is life.

Our body weakens and will keep withering away the longer we remain unconscious with our flow of breath. A flow stuck in stagnant movement eroding your divine essence and that sense of balance from within and our core at large.

You'll realize that you're really not living.

Emphases on the deep exhalation because more often times, we fail to leverage the potency in deep exhalation.

Let us practice then our breathing together shall we:

  • Close your eyes and try opening your mind's eye [see an eye opening at your forehead]

  • Take a deep belly breath from the pits of your belly, up through the diaphragms

  • Notice and focus on the movement of your breath as it makes its way upwards towards the center of your brain.

  • Move till you've reached your limit in movement

  • Hold for 5 seconds or more

  • BREATHE OUT IN FULL ENERGY AND LIFE FORCE

  • Why exhaling, breathe till the very end. Until you feel this emptiness in your belly

  • Becoming aware of that emptiness, and ravishing in it.

    5. Listening to Sounds of Music that Calms My Nerves.

I'm forever grateful for the creation of beautiful sounds. Sounds, immaculate rhythms and blues. The tone of the music I listen to I've noticed, has the power to make my mood, feelings, thoughts and emotions better or much worse. I like good music. I appreciate good music whenever I hear one. Especially music that has light codes embedded in them. Such an intimate experience to witness, in hearing a song or symphony made by another and instantly feeling this sense of connection with yourself, which further grounds you. Resonating on a soul level, tunes that somewhat feel like wave of sweet nostalgia. Curating within oneself a sense of home.

    I'm at Peace.

Tones and Melodies I hold in high regards that help keep me grounded.

  • Symphonies that exude peace, calm and harmonies sounds. My favorite composer remains Ludwig Van Beethoven. Such wonderful and serene symphonies.

  • Musical offerings of beautiful harmonious tones, that transcends the test of time, inadvertently glorifying the presence and power of the divine source. Presently, My favorite sacred offering artist is, Dianna Lopez <3.

  • Music that's filled with affirmations and positive thinking in them.

  • Lo-fi beats

  • Listening to the elements of nature, live or recorded. Like the rain, the many crickets at night, the swoosh of the wind, the sounds of a tap running and the likes of those.

  • Music that fosters moments of introspection and life audit. etc.
